
Eric Fichtner is a First Officer for a regional airline. His love of flying began as a youth, but his official training as a pilot began in 2004. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation Science from Utah Valley University. He worked as a flight instructor for UVU for more than a year before he was hired as an airline pilot. While at UVU, Eric worked as a Check Instructor, evaluating student pilots and other instructors. As a Flight Instructor, he flew Diamond and Piper aircraft, and now as an airline pilot, Eric flies the Embraer Regional Jet or ERJ 145. His career aspiration is to work for a major carrier, such as Delta Airlines. Eric appears on the Considering the Sequels Podcast as the special guest of Episode 6.
