Director Richard Boddington is a 20-year veteran of the film and television industry. Mr. Boddington graduated from a four-year film school in the U.S. and was immediately hired as a producer for the CTV network in Toronto, where he worked for five years. Mr. Boddington then pursued cinematography on a full-time basis, traveling to five continents to capture a wide variety of footage on 35mm. These travels included an expedition to Antarctica, Egypt — and also Isla Guadalupe — to film great white sharks. In 2008 Richard released his first feature film, the sci-fi thriller, “Dark Reprieve,” which he produced, directed, edited and shot on 35mm. “Dark Reprieve” went on to secure international distribution on TV and DVD. The movie is currently available any place DVDs are rented or sold, including Wal-mart, Target, Best Buy, Blockbuster Video and Barnes & Noble. In 2009 Richard began production on “The Dogfather,” a multi million-dollar family comedy starring Chris Parnell from “Saturday Night Live” and “30 Rock.” “The Dogfather” was completed in January 2010 and premiered in Los Angeles at The International Family Film Festival in March. “The Dogfather” was shot on 35mm, and Richard also served as the film editor. “The Dogfather” will be released nationwide in the United States on January 18, 2011.
